I started Inspire Dog Training in 2021 with the goal of creating training programs and spaces focused on providing support and education for dog owners and handlers so they could best support their new puppies and adult dogs through personalized support. Since then as my focus has shifted from puppy classes to sport classes, I still prioritize the human end of the leash and creating spaces for dog owners to ask questions, try new things and participate in a community focused training network.

Most dog training happens through the day-to-day life. I’ve found the most impactful thing I could do as a trainer is be there for my students both in class and during “off-hours” by making myself available to students so they can ask questions, send videos and pick my brain on whatever training or behavioural dilemma that has popped up. I could talk about dogs all day, and if you’ve ever been caught at the end of my last class of the day you’ll have experienced this first hand!

I truly love training, and I value the people who support me by signing up for classes. Being able to support them as they navigate their lives with their dogs is absolutely incredible, and being able to see them flourish over years of knowing my clients is one of my greatest joys.

I began to pursue a career in dog training in 2014, and have since obtained certification with Karen Pryor Academy (KPA-CTP), the Certification Council of Professional Dog Trainers (CPDT-KA), and is also a Certified Trick Dog Instructor through Do More With Your Dog. I’ve worked at various training facilities, in dog daycares and even in shelter with rescue dogs.

Even though these days I’m primarily teaching sport classes, I love working with all dogs through individual one-on-one Coaching. Please also check out the Community!
